San Souci Resort and Spa was awarded the AAA Four Diamond rating - is set against the backdrop of the tranquil blue Caribbean, surrounded by lush, perfumed gardens. Designed for those who seek a vacation offering the refinement of a bygone era without stinting on modern amenities, Sans Souci provides an unsurpassed level of lavish accommodations and personalized service. The Resort
In the 1930's, the property had been owned by an Austrian who built small log cabins along the hillside, and rented them to visitors who primarily came for the mineral waters. Later, a Hungarian bought the popular location, and built small cottages, and renamed the property "Sans Souci" (French, for "without a care"). In 1966, the property was sold once again to Mr. Stanhope Joel, who developed the property into an exclusive resort of apartments which became privately owned units, most of which belonged to Mr. Joel's exclusive circle of friends. When Mr. Joel passed away at the age of 85, the property came to the hands of a Jamaican businessman by the name of Maurice Facey. With the help of his wife, Valerie, and Stephen, a master architect, Mr. Facey was able to reconstruct the entire resort into the elegantly designed hotel it has become today.
 Here under the bright blue Ocho Rios sky the lush mountains slope all the way down to where the white sand beach is softly caressed by the Caribbean Sea, creating one of the most unique and romantic landscapes anywhere in the world. Sans Souci Resort & Spa is a playfully elegant beach resort. One hundred forty six luxurious suites gently blended into Ocho Rios' lush landscape. Mineral springs bubble in hidden grottos, where as legend has it, their natural, romantic powers wash away stress and tension and replace it with revitalized romantic energy.
